AegisGate Beta User Agreement
Effective Date: 2026-06-07 Version: 1.0 DRAFT (v3.3.0 beta)
This Beta User Agreement (“Beta Agreement”) supplements the AegisGate Security Platform Terms of Service (“Terms”) and applies to your participation in the AegisGate Beta Program (“Beta Program”). Capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings given in the Terms.
1. Beta Program Description
The Beta Program provides early access to pre-release versions of the AegisGate Security Platform (“Beta Features”), including:
- The v3.3.0 release candidate
- New compliance modules (HIPAA, PCI-DSS, SOC 2, ISO 42001, FedRAMP, FIPS 140, EU AI Act)
- The minimum-viable legal kit
- New website pages and documentation
Beta Features are designated as “beta,” “preview,” “early access,” or similar in the Platform UI and documentation.
2. License Grant
Subject to your compliance with this Beta Agreement and the Terms, AegisGate Security, LLC grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, royalty-free, revocable license to access and use the Beta Features for the duration of the Beta Program, solely for:
- Evaluation and testing
- Providing feedback to AegisGate Security, LLC
- Non-production use
You may not use the Beta Features for production workloads, customer-facing services, or any use where a failure could cause harm.
3. Feedback
You agree to provide reasonable feedback about the Beta Features through:
- The in-app feedback widget
- Scheduled user interviews (optional)
- The AegisGate community Discord or forum (optional)
- Direct email to beta@aegisgatesecurity.io
Feedback is voluntary, and you grant AegisGate Security, LLC a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free license to use any feedback you provide for any purpose (consistent with the Feedback section of the Terms).
4. No Service Level Commitment
The Beta Program is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE.” AegisGate Security, LLC does not provide any service level commitment, uptime guarantee, or service credit for the Beta Features. The SLA exclusions in Section 7.3 of the Terms apply to the Beta Program.
5. No Production Use; No Liability for Beta Failures
You acknowledge that Beta Features may contain bugs, errors, security vulnerabilities, or other issues that could cause loss of data, downtime, or other harm. You agree to:
- Not use Beta Features for production workloads or any mission-critical use
- Back up all data before using Beta Features
- Test Beta Features in a non-production environment
AegisGate Security, LLC shall not be liable for any losses arising from your use of the Beta Features, except to the extent such losses are caused by our gross negligence or willful misconduct.
6. Confidentiality
Beta Features and any related documentation, roadmaps, pricing information, or technical details are Confidential Information of AegisGate Security, LLC. You agree not to disclose any Confidential Information to third parties without our prior written consent, except:
- To your employees and contractors who have a need to know and are bound by confidentiality obligations no less protective than those in this Beta Agreement
- As required by law (with prompt notice to us, to the extent legally permitted)
This confidentiality obligation survives termination of the Beta Program for 2 years.
7. Term and Termination
The Beta Program begins when you accept this Beta Agreement and ends when AegisGate Security, LLC releases the generally available (GA) version of the v3.3.0 release (or earlier, at our discretion).
Either Party may terminate your participation in the Beta Program at any time, for any reason, with 7 calendar days’ notice (or immediately for breach).
Upon termination:
- Your license to use the Beta Features ends
- You must delete any locally installed pre-release binaries within 14 calendar days
- You may export any data you created in the Beta Program
- The confidentiality, feedback license, and limitation of liability provisions survive
8. No Warranty
EXCEPT AS EXPRESSLY STATED IN THIS BETA AGREEMENT, THE BETA PROGRAM IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” AEGISGATE SECURITY, LLC DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
9. Limitation of Liability
EACH PARTY’S TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THIS BETA AGREEMENT SHALL NOT EXCEED $100 USD. IN NO EVENT SHALL EITHER PARTY BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES.
10. Governing Law
This Beta Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin, USA, without regard to conflict of law principles. Disputes are subject to the arbitration provisions in Section 13 of the Terms of Service.
